Tips for Designing Your Book or E-book Cover
With the emergence of on-demand printing technologies and new marketing strategies for electronic e-books anyone, with a small budget and an idea, can produce a book. Whether you are using an on-demand publisher like our own local Lulu or producing an e-book to sell on Amazon these tips will help you create a cover that looks great online or in print.
Tips will include: trade lingo, how to know if you need to hire a designer, the difference between print files and online files, and how to use typography effectively.

About the speaker - Cyn Macgregor Cyn is founder and owner of Cynergie Studio, specializes in book cover design and works with traditional publishers, independent authors, and corporations. Her book cover designs can be seen on the shelves in Barnes & Noble, online at Amazon and in homes everywhere.
Cyn is the PechaKucha Night Raleigh City Manager and as such will present PechaKucha style, meaning 20 slides/20 seconds a slide for a total of 6 minutes and 40 seconds. This format keeps the information concise and allows for an open discussion after the presentation.
