Linda will share how she turned an English degree and a sense of adventure into a career that let her write procedures, lead programmers, develop games, run a company, change the world, and cook up a storm!

Linda Watson is the author of the best-selling cookbook Wildly Affordable Organic: Eat Fabulous Food, Get Healthy, and Save the PlanetundefinedAll on $5 a Day or Less. January Magazine named WAO as one of the top-10 cookbooks of 2011. WAO made the Long List for the 2012 SIBA Book Awards, given by the Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance. She's recently been featured in Health magazine, the AARP Magazine, and is a finalist in Blue Cross Blue Shield's Health Innovation Challenge.

Linda started the Cook for Good project five years ago and serves as its chief cook and researcher. Linda served as the executive director for the Raleigh Independent Business Alliance and the Wake County Democratic Party. Before that, her thrilling career included starting Egarden.com, working with Tom Clancy and Douglas Adams on computer games, and developing top-secret expert systems for the Institute of Defense Analyses.
