Introduce Yourself
Dr. Sophia Stone is an Educator and Senior Consultant with Duke University, leading initiatives to advance academic innovation and consulting with faculty on digital education, learning experience design, and online education. In partnership with the Duke Graduate School, she is preparing the next generation of academic innovators (Bass Digital Education Fellows) and has developed courses and instructed PhD students in the area of digital education. With the Duke Global Health Institute, she managed the development of the first global online course for Duke with a partner medical school in Moshi, Tanzania, building capacity in health professions education. Recipient of the 2022 Duke Presidential Award (team award), and recipient of the Online Learning Consortium Best-in-Strand Award in the category: Institutional Strategies and Innovations (2016).
