The 5th Annual Day on the Hill event was certainly one to remember! On January 19, 2016, members from Virginia’s three affiliate chapters gathered at Virginia’s state capitol in Richmond, VA to meet with state and local delegates, gubernatorial officials, and fellow YPs to discuss the issues that matter! Valuable connections were made with politicians and among the Hampton Roads, Richmond, and Northern Virginia Urban League Young Professionals chapters. Day on the Hill events featured a breakfast with leaders, an acknowledgement from the general session floor, a tour of the capitol and Governor’s mansion, and plenty of mingling with YPs.
