The Wake County Women's Agenda Assembly

The Wake County Women's Agenda Assembly is scheduled for Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Peace College.

The schedule includes:

  • Morning of information and small group discussions on public policy issues apt to come before the NC legislature
  • Lunch in the Peace College Dining Hall and announcement of the priorities from the small group discussions
  • Early afternoon tour of the Legislative Building to orient those who may want to make visits to their legislators
This is a biennial event sponsored by NC Women United, a coalition which includes BPW/NC.

Speakers will include Mandy Carter, nationally known advocate from Durham, and Paula Wolf, key lobbyist on women's and social justice issues at the NC Legislature.

Registration is now open. The suggested fee is $12. Scholarships are available and sponsorships start at $25. For more information see http://wakewaa.wordpress.com/
