Each year the NC Center for Women in Public Service (NCCWPS) hosts a customized, dynamic program for women leaders across the state of North Carolina. The 2011 Women in Office Institute will be held at Peace College in Raleigh over two extended weekend sessions. Up to 20 women will be selected to participate.
If selected to attend the Institute, the participant will walk away with an incredible bank of knowledge about the political process and the confidence to explore or pursue governmental leadership. They will have the opportunity to meet and network with elected and appointed officials and female leaders. They will learn from knowledgeable professors, media experts, leadership trainers, noted political strategists and successful Institute alumnae.
Now in its eighth year, Institute graduates are making a difference in their communities across North Carolina as judges, county commissioners, campaign leaders and public service board members.
