In this workshop, we will define diversity and related terminology such as inclusion, equity, and belonging. We will discuss how having a diverse team leads to increased effectiveness and performance and the factors or conditions that lead to an increase in effectiveness and performance on diverse teams.

In this session, participants will:

  • Establish foundational awareness and a common base language with which you can build and grow as a team
  • Recognize the importance of welcoming and valuing differences in the workplace
  • Begin the process of identifying the difference between various types of biases in order to treat people with dignity and respect
  • Recognize commonalities within your team and among others who are different
  • Help each other grow and realize our full potential by creating awareness and action and grow a culture of belonging
  • By fostering an environment of respect, collaboration, positivity and belonging, you will enable your organization to succeed and your team to flourish.
